Do Urbany Hostels have any age restrictions?

In UH London only guests from 18 to 40 years old are allowed (if you are outside this range please contact the hostel directly). In both Barcelona hostels the maximum allowed age is 50 years old and guests under 18 can stay only if they are accompanied at least of an adult (18 years old or over). Under 16 years old must stay in private rooms and proof kinship with their companions. 17 and 16 years old can stay in shared dorms as long as they are with an adult (18 years old or over) that signs a liability document.

Is there a time limit to check in?

No time limit cos our front desk is open 24/7! (but if you are planning to reach the hostel after 4am, it would be great if you let us know!)

Wich is the cancelation policy? Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

It depends on the type of reservation you did. If you booked the Flexible Rate on our website, you can easily change/cancel 48h before check in by reaching our bookings department by email (we do not accept cancellations by phone/whatsapp). If you booked via a third party, please get in touch directly with them.

Can I make a reservation without a credit card?

Unfortunately it is not possible, a credit card is mandatory to confirm a reservation.

How many nights can I stay?

We have a 7 day maximum stay per every 30 days.

I haven't received a confirmation email. What should I do?

Sorry about that! Please, contact the bookings department of the hostel you have booked and give them your full name, date of arrival and confirmation number (if you have it). They will look for your reservation and resend your confirmation email.

Can I be sure all my friends will be put into the same dorm?

We always strive to accommodate requests to place you and your friends in the same dorm. If you’ve booked separate beds and wish to stay together, you can contact the hostel to make a request. However, please note that this is subject to availability. To guarantee staying together, consider booking private room.

Can I make a group reservation?

Yes! Our groups reservation departement is ready to assist you. If you are travelling with 14 people or more, please get in touch with them by filling up this form.

Do I need an ID to check in?

Yes, to check in it is compulsory to show an ID (only European citizens) or Passport to check in the hostel.

Is bed linen included?

Yes, all reservations include bed linen, pillow and duvet.

And what about towels?

Towels are only included in the double private room reservations (and pink dorms in Barcelona). We have towels available for rent at the front desk.

Is there a kitchen for the guests?

Yes, we have fully equipped guest kitchens where you can prepare your signature dish for you and your travel mates.

Can I invite guests who are not staying at the hostel?

Unfortunately not. For security reasons, we do not accept people who are not staying in the hostel.

GAUDI’S ARCHITECTURE

SAGRADA FAMILIA: Antoni Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece. This basilica is one of the most visited sights in the world. Its construction began in 1882 and the Catalan architect worked on the project until his death in 1926, in full anticipation he would not live to see it finished. The Sagrada Familia is at once surprising, austere, unusual and exuberant.

PARK GUELL: Built in 1900, Park Güell was a dream shared by the entrepreneur Eusebi Güell and Antoni Gaudí. By that time, the cosmopolitan spirit of Art Nouveau and the ambition of Antoni Gaudí . In 1984, UNESCO declared it a World Heritage site.

CASA BATLLÓ: one of the houses designed by Gaudí located on Passeig de Gracia. Gaudí used colors and shapes found in marine life as inspiration for his creativity in this building. The very radical and brilliant transformation in the use of colors and shapes, which had never before been seen on a façade, quickly established this building as an icon of the new Barcelona.

CASA MILÀ (LA PEDRERA): The success achieved by Antoni Gaudí with the two residential buildings which he had built in Barcelona’s Eixample district at the start of the 20th century brought him another commission from a new client, Pere Milà. He commissioned Gaudí to build an apartment building at Passeig de Gracia, keeping the principal or main floor as the residence of his family and renting out the rest. This avenue was the main thoroughfare of the new Barcelona and it had become the most prestigious social setting of a city that was just then undergoing an unprecedented development boom.

NEIGHBOURHOODS

GOTHIC QUARTER: this is the neighborhood where the hotel is located and the oldest one in the city. It’s partly surrounded by the old city walls and filled with ancient Roman remains that you will be able to enjoy in our property. Do not forget to visit the Barcelona Cathedral and stroll around the quiet street that surrounds it. This is a neighborhood of contrasts.
EL BORN: the narrow web of streets scattered around the old church of Santa Maria del Mar is known as El Born. Find some of the coolest spots in the city: art galleries, boutiques, tapas bars and a lively spot for a night out.

LA RAMBLA: laid out in 1766, this street quickly became a meeting place for all the social classes in Barcelona. Following the contours of the medieval city walls that had bound this part of Barcelona since the 13th century, La Rambla was the only space where everyone could stroll and spend their leisure time. As you walk along, you’ll see landmark buildings, such as the greatest theater of Barcelona’s opera, the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the spectacular BOQUERIA MARKET.
